Special Events for Children and Families

No registration required. If special events are scheduled during your weekly session time, then the special event will take the place of your session. 

SRP Kick Off with Mr. Twister Monday, 6/3 10:00am and 1:00pm

Kick off the summer with Mr. Twister's Library Show "Balloons in Space"! His newest show is packed full of balloons, magic, comedy and fun! Featuring: "Space Ranger and the Attack of the Giant Mutant Space Worms". Event will take place on the lawn south of the library - bring a chair or blanket.

LEGO Club Monday, 6/17 and Monday, 7/8 3:00pm - 5:00pm 

Drop in and build with the library's LEGO bricks and put your creations on display!  

Rockin' Red's Musical Show  Thursday, 6/27 10:00am and 1:00pm 

Don't miss Rockin' Red's energetic show filled with music, dancing, props, silliness and lots of fun!  

Zoo Days at the Library Wednesday, 6/19 10:00am and 11:30am and Wednesday, 7/17 1:30pm and 3:00pm 

Zoo Educators and Zoo Crew bring live animals to see and touch!   

Pockets Full of Fun with Lisa Laird Friday, 6/14 10:00am and 1:00pm

Ventriloquist, Lisa Laird, is returning to share her talents with a new show titled "One Giant Leap for READING!" This show will go where no show has gone before! Meet some famous space dogs - learn some interesting space facts - find stories in the sky - but watch out for aliens!  

Hanson Shows  Tuesday, 7/9 10:00am

Amazing balance stunts! Champion unicycling! World record juggling tricks! An incredible show you won't want to miss!  

Author/Illustrator Elise Parsley Monday, 7/15 10:00am

Join us for a reading and drawing demonstration by the popular author/illustrator of If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, DON'T! You'll also learn how she creates her books and get an autograph! This program is made possible by a generous donation from Mrs. Maxine Horning - Thank You!  

End of Summer Carnival  Friday, 7/26 3:00pm-5:30pm

Join us for carnival games, snacks, prizes, and more!  

Family Movies and Popcorn Every Friday at 2:30pm!
